1. INTRODUCTION

WPLOCK is owned and operated by Eligent Group LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with registered number 11225834 and with its registered office at Kemp House, 160 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX (we, us).

By using wplock.io (the “Site”) or otherwise providing personal data to us, you agree to be bound by this privacy policy (the Privacy Policy).

This Privacy Policy affects your legal rights and obligations so please read it carefully. If you do not agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy, do not use our site or provide personal data to us.

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time at our discretion. If we do so, the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.

However, if we reasonably believe that the change to the Privacy Policy is significant, we shall notify all registered users by email

We are the controller of all personal data that you provide to us.

2. DATA COLLECTION

By ‘personal data’ we mean identifiable information about you, such as your name, email address, geographical address, telephone number, IP address.

We collect data relating to a number of individual and we are the data controller of the personal data provided to us or collected by us.

We will collect your personal data when you:

  1. make an enquiry, provide feedback or otherwise contact us with a question or comment to the blog;
  2. create an account on wplock.io;
  3. engage with us on social media or email
  4. pay for any product or service offered by wplock.io

When you contact us by email or post, we may keep a record of the correspondence and we may also record any telephone calls we have with you.

All personal data that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal data.  You must not register under someone else’s name.

When you use our site, we, or third parties on our behalf, automatically collect and store information about your device and your activities. This information could include (a) your computer or other device’s unique ID number; (b) your mobile device’s geographic location; (c) technical information about your device such as type of device, web browser or operating system; (d) your preferences and settings such as time zone and language; (e) how long you used the website and which services and features you used. We do not collect any ‘special categories’ of personal data such as details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data unless you choose to provide such information to us.

3. DATA USAGE

We will only use your personal data where we have a lawful basis to do so. The lawful purposes that we rely on under this Privacy Policy are:

  1. consent (where you choose to provide it),
  2. performance of our contract (e.g. contract of service) with you;
  3. legal compliance; and
  4. legitimate interests.

When we refer to legitimate interests we mean our legitimate business interests in the normal running of our business which do not materially impact your rights, freedom or interests.

We use your personal data to allow you to use the wplock.io website and service in accordance with our Terms of Use. Other users of the service won’t be able to see the data you’ve provided to us.

We use your personal data to comply with any legal obligations, demands or requirements, for example, as part of anti-money laundering processes or to protect a third party’s rights, property, or safety.

We may also use your personal data for our legitimate interests, including managing our relationship with you, dealing with any customer services you require, for audit purposes and to contact you about changes to this Privacy Policy.

 4. WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH

For our legitimate interests, we may share your personal data with any service providers, sub-contractors and agents that we may appoint to perform functions on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions, including payment providers, IT service providers, accountants, auditors and lawyers. We shall provide our service providers, sub-contractors and agents only with such of your personal data as they need to provide the service for us and if we stop using their services, we shall request that they delete your personal data or make it anonymous within their systems.

In order to comply with our legal obligations, under certain circumstances we may have to disclose your personal data under applicable laws and/or regulations, for example, as part of anti-money laundering processes or to protect a third party’s rights, property, or safety.

For our legitimate interests, we may also share your personal data in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another company.

5. WHERE IS YOUR DATA STORED

Some or all of your personal data may be stored or transferred outside of the European Economic Area (the EEA) for any reason, including for example, if our email server is located in a country outside the EEA or if any of our service providers are based outside of the EEA.

If we do store or transfer your personal data outside the EEA, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated as safely and securely as it would be within the EEA and under applicable laws.

6. SECURITY

We shall process your personal data in a manner that ensures appropriate security of the personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.

We do this by using appropriate technical or organisational measures, for example, all the information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers width advanced intrusion detection systems and data protection layers; and our employees are required to comply with all applicable data protection laws.

Notwithstanding our efforts, you acknowledge that no system can be completely secure. Therefore, although we take these steps to secure your personal data, we do not promise that your personal data will always remain completely secure.

7. MARKETING

We won’t send you marketing emails unless you subscribe to our Newsletter, in that case you’ll receive updates on our blog posts.

Also, you might receive email notifications if you purchase a service or a product, and/or if you’re using a service or a product that needs to use these to function.

If you receive unexpected emails from our service, please let us know by emailing contact@eligent.group – and we’ll look into helping you as soon as possible.

8. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to obtain from us a copy of the personal data that we hold for you or request that we transfer your personal data to another service provider.

You can also require us to correct errors in the personal data that we process for you if it is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

You also have the right at any time to require that we delete your personal data that we hold for you, but please note if you do this, we shall not longer be able to access your wplock.io account.

In certain circumstances, you have the right to require that we restrict the processing of your personal information.

Please note, we reserve the right to charge an administrative fee if your request in relation to your rights is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

If you have any complaints in relation to this Privacy Policy or otherwise in relation to our processing of your personal data, please us. We shall review and investigate your complaint and try to get back to you within a reasonable time.  You can also contact the Information Commissioner, see www.ico.org.uk or if you are based outside of the United Kingdom, please contact your local regulatory authority

9. RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA

We retain your personal data in accordance with applicable laws. The length of time we keep your personal data depends on what it is and whether we have an on-going business need to retain it (for example, to provide you with access to the service or to comply with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements).

We shall retain your personal data for as long as we have a relationship with you and for a period of time afterwards where we have an on-going business need to retain it, in accordance with our data retention policies and practices. Following that period, we shall make sure it is deleted or made it anonymous within our systems. 

If any provision of this Privacy Policy is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, then such provision shall be construed, as nearly as possible, to reflect the intentions of the parties and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
